Donald G. Ellis and Karen C. Beyard International Summer Research

The purpose of this scholarship fund is to support undergraduate international travel and/or living expenses for undergraduate research in the humanities, social sciences, or sciences and for a student who shows promise of completing a research project by having the opportunity to travel.

The criteria to be used for the spendable income of this endowed scholarship fund will be to award financial assistance to a student for travel. The recipient will be chosen on the basis of character, intellectual engagement, prior academic accomplishment, and the likelihood of completing the project. He/she should have a grade point average of 3.0 or better, should be making satisfactory academic progress, and have earned 27 credits, at least 15 of which were as a matriculation in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Hartford.
