Lord Family Music Endowment Fund

Fund Purpose: The fund’s distribution will be used to provide funding for an engraved (engraving to read: “Mark W. Lord Award”) C-Trumpet, E flat trumpet, or a piccolo trumpet (the instrument) for an exceptional Hartt student based on talent. In accordance with the donors’ wishes (as outlined in the attached addendum 2020), first preference for the fund shall be given to a trumpet student who has demonstrated a level of talent, preparation, leadership and dedication to learning that exceeds his/her peers. If no trumpet student meets the criteria for selection and if there are remaining funds in the spendable account, funds shall be awarded in the form of a merit award with preference for an undergraduate piano student(s).
